Silas

Creating Silas

Devotion in every detail

SketchLine ArtFinal Colour

Designed For Sacrifice

Silas’ design is intentionally ornate for a singular purpose: sacrifice. Where Orrien is shielded from the world, and from himself, Silas stands exposed, willing to take the blow meant for his master without hesitation. While the IronPaws are the armour, he is the offering.

Faith Beyond Reason

His eyes are star-lit by design, reflecting how he sees Orrien not as a ruler, but as something divine. Faith replaces reason. Devotion replaces self-preservation. Every aesthetic choice reinforces his role as the willing intermediary between danger and the throne.

The Throne’s Reflection

Silas is the visual antithesis to Orrien. Where Orrien is draped in black, heavy with mourning and restraint, Silas is rendered in white and silver, colours associated with reflection, purity, and instruments meant to be used rather than cherished. Silver catches the light. It draws attention. It marks him as the one meant to be seen, struck, and discarded if necessary.

Lore And Legend

Silas is the quiet force that reshaped Orrien’s life

Protection Through Control

His happiness exists only in Orrien’s safety, even when that safety requires confinement. To Silas, protection begins and ends with control. A butterfly survives longer behind glass than in open air.

A Debt Of Devotion

Raised within the Veynar quarters, Silas was born into service. His father was a butler to the family, and Silas inherited obedience before he learned defiance. When a childhood mistake earned Alistair’s wrath, Orrien stepped forward, taking the punishment meant for him. Flesh for flesh. Pain for loyalty. From that moment, Silas’s devotion became absolute. Gratitude hardened into worship. Care twisted into vigilance. He would build cages, fit masks, and lock doors if it meant keeping Orrien untouched by the world.

No Other Purpose

There are no hidden ambitions in Silas, only a singular purpose. Every breath, every movement, every choice or act of violence is an offering. If an obstacle appears, friend, family, or foe, Silas removes it without hesitation. While the intention is pure, the method is usually not. And so the butterfly remains alive, brilliant, and forever unable to fly.
