Creating Simba

A survivor’s body, a companion’s heart

A Body That Endured

Simba’s concept art depicts a small Shiba Inu whose body bears the quiet evidence of a life survived rather than lived. Portions of his frame have been replaced with metallic prosthetics that are nothing more than functional, worn, and unadorned. Each mechanical part feels improvised, repaired more than once, carrying the weight of endurance rather than power.

Loyalty Unbroken

His eyes are warm, kind, and unmistakably pure; a softness that no amount of suffering could dull. Where his body tells a story of resilience, his expression tells one of unwavering loyalty. Simba looks as though he has every reason to be hardened, and yet chooses not to be. The contrast tells the story of a survivor shaped by cruelty, housing a heart that never learned how to abandon hope.

Lore And Legend

Devotion, in its purest form, defined Simba; whoever walked beside him, he would follow to the end without hesitation

A Life Of Devotion

His life began alongside a homeless man in the City’s forgotten corners. Together they survived hunger, cold nights, and constant displacement. Around Simba’s neck hung a worn metallic collar, fused with a dormant chip, a quiet promise of purpose waiting for the right moment to awaken. Through hardship after hardship, Simba learned resilience: when to endure, when to flee, and when to stand his ground.

Left In The Shadows

One day, the man was taken by an IronPaw raid and Simba found himself, for the first time, alone. When hope thinned into unshakeable fear, Simba remained frozen and hidden in the dark alleyways close to where his companion was taken.

A Companion Found

It was then that Hamie found him. In him, Simba recognised something familiar: loneliness, determination, and a path forward. By the time Simba became Hamie’s companion, he was already forged by both loss and endurance, which made him all the more resilient for the path ahead.
