Devotion To The Craft

Veylor’s design embodies his pure devotion to the craft. A mechanical arm rests over his shoulder while he works, allowing him to reach, adjust, and build faster, every tool and movement optimised for efficiency. Suits and formal attire are burdens to him; practicality is paramount, and rolling up sleeves is instinctive.

An Obsession With The Wheel

The Wheel is the closest thing he has to true love, and it shapes every choice he makes. Diplomacy holds no appeal, but he will wear a suit, or even display the Aetherion insignia, if it serves his ultimate goal: mastery over the Wheel itself. Strategic and ultimately unafraid to oppose the Aetherion when necessary, Veylor’s ambition is clear to become what he has always envisioned: the God of the Wheel.

A Mind Consumed By Creation

Physically, Veylor is a brown hamster with matching brown hair and eyes that glow only when he speaks of the Wheel. His body language, accessories, and focused energy all signal a mind consumed by creation rather than politics: a mad scientist in the vein of Frankenstein, obsessed with his own invention, driven by intellect and curiosity more than empathy, willing to bend the world to realise his vision.

Lore And Legend

Veylor Quann is the youngest scion of the Quann family, the architects of the Wheel, the massive structure that channels power throughout the City

The Architects’ Legacy

The Quanns have long been allied with the Veynars, a union of aristocracy, wealth, and influence that exists far beyond notions of morality.

A Mind Beyond Tradition

Veylor, however, has never cared for politics or prestige. His mind is drawn instead to the intricate mechanics of architecture and the subtle interplay of technology and power. In every sense, he was a simple hamster: curious, methodical, and obsessively focused on his craft. What frustrated him most was the lack of control over his own projects, constrained by tradition and the expectations of his family.

Freedom To Rebuild

His decision to join the Respeculators was purely practical. The organisation offered him freedom to explore beyond the Aetherion Order’s narrow tasks, and the tantalising possibility that one day he could rewire the Wheel itself, making it self-sustaining and no longer dependent on hamsters at all. For Veylor, loyalty is secondary to curiosity, and mastery over his work is the only truth he believes is absolute.
